Bryson Proctor
Undergraduate Student
Bio
Bryson is an undergraduate student working on the decellularization of porcine tissue under the guidance of Kiran Ali and Dr. Jessica Gluck. Bryson’s lab superpower is his unparalleled flexibility, seamlessly adapting to various research areas and projects.
When he’s not in the lab, Bryson is coaching the next generation of athletes as the assistant sprints/hurdles coach for the NC State Club Track team. He’s also a familiar face around the Wilson College of Textiles, giving tours and working events as a Student Ambassador. His commitment extends to the North Carolina Textile Foundation, where he works as an office assistant.
Outside the academic sphere, Bryson is an avid sports enthusiast who loves playing and watching sports, with a particular soft spot for his all-time favorite show, Survivor. A fun fact about Bryson is his proud Cherokee Native American heritage. He’s also a marathoner, having completed his first (and only) marathon in the summer of 2023 (His pride from crossing that finish line was insurmountable once he overcame the pain).
